Saris worth 24 lakh seized

Kadapa: In two separateincidents, the police seized saris worth Rs 24 lakh and Rs 3.5 lakh cash during vehicle checking at Kothapalli check-post in Proddatur rural mandal on Thursday.
 

According to official sources, the cops seized two cars which were transporting saris to Kadapa city without relevant bills. A person transporting Rs 3.5 lakh cash in an auto was taken into custody at Mandi Bazaar in Proddatur. The police registered a case.
