Scorching heat hampers people's life in AP, cross 47 degrees Celsius

Amaravati: People in the State suffered due to unbearable heat on Friday. As predicted and warned by the India Meteorological Department, the extreme weather conditions of heatwave prevailed, crossing the temperatures 47 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature recorded as 47.4 degrees Celsius in the State, according to the information provided by the AP State Disaster Management Authority on Friday.

For instance, the heatwave spread across state including 47.4 degrees Celsius recorded at Unguturu mandal in Krishna district and Kurichedu in Prakasam district, 47.3 degrees Celsius at Nidadavole in West Godavari district, 46.7 degrees Celsius at Mangalagiri in Guntur, 45.9 degrees Celsius at Ravulapalem in East Godavari, 45.6 degrees Celsius at Kavali in Nellore, 45.4 degrees Celsius at Satyavedu in Chittoor, 44.4 degrees Celsius at Banaganapalle in Kurnool, 43.4 degrees Celsius at Jiyyamma Valasa in Vizianagaram, 43.1 degrees Celsius at Laxminarasampet in Srikakulam and Kamalapuram in Kadapa, 43 degrees Celsius at Ravikamatham in Visakhapatnam and 42.5 degrees Celsius at Bukkarayasamudram in Anantapur district.

The officials informed that people in the State must protect themselves by taking preventive measures and should not expose to the sun during the day time. This heat wave likely to continue for the next three days, officials added.
