Secretariat executive committee to meet in a while to discuss on shifting of capital

The Executive Committee of Andhra Pradesh secretariat will meet in a while in Velagapudi in a short while to discuss the issues related to the shifting of the secretariat from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam. The committee seems to be telling the employees to get ready to shift to Visakhapatnam. It is reported that the Secretariat will be evacuated by May 31.

The committee has taken up the issue seriously to shift the office by May 31 as the new academic year would begin in June. It is known fact that the government of Andhra Pradesh led by chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has proposed three capitals to the Andhra Pradesh with the secretariat at Visakhapatnam, judicial at Kurnool and assembly at Amaravati and passed the resolution in the assembly.

Meanwhile, the government has issued GOs to shift the important offices to the proposed capitals. Off late, the secretariat employees are gearing up for the tasks to be met to shift the secretariat to Visakhapatnam. However, it has to be seen how the high court would react with the government's move as it has ordered not to shift the offices.
