Sports meet for differently-abled inaugurated: Collector Mohammad Imtiaz

Vijayawada: Collector Mohammad Imtiaz said that sports would help the differently-abled children grow mentally strong. He inaugurated a sports meet for differently-abled children at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium here on Tuesday.

Addressing the gathering, he said that everyone should care and love differently-abled children and appreciated the service of NGOs towards the children. He said that the State government has introduced many welfare schemes for differently-abled children. He said that on December 3, International Day for Persons with Disabilities will be organised.

Joint Collector Dr K Madhavilatha, Joint Collector -II Mohan Kumar, Differently-abled Welfare department Assistant Director AVD Narayana Rao and others were present.
