Srikakulam: Health officials told to conduct fever survey

Srikakulam: In the wake of growing number of Covid positive cases in the district and also the time for outbreak of seasonal diseases, the district administration has alerted the health officials. In this backdrop, District Collector J Nivas directed officials concerned to conduct door-to-door across the district for identifying those suffering from fever.

In a review meeting conducted on increasing number of Covid cases and its preventive steps, the collector directed officials that the survey should be conducted transparently and every fever patient should be treated on par with Covid positive patient. Such patients need to stay at home at least for a week to avoid its further spread.

Those who are suffering from fever and other related seasonal diseases can contact officials concerned by calling mobile numbers 9491222122 and also to 9440512447 to get treatment and relief, collector appealed to people. Village-level teams formed at all villages with medical staff and they will conduct detailed survey on fevers and related seasonal diseases, he added. In total, the district reported 486 corona positive cases till Wednesday and expected to increase in coming days, the collector elaborated in the meeting.
