St Theresa College celebrates Sankranti in Eluru

Eluru: Students of St Theresa College for Women performed to the Sankranti tunes at a special programme organised to celebrate the festival at the college. The students also steal the show their active participation in Kolatam and Rangavalli synonymous with Sankranti.

College Principal Dr Sister M D'Mello organised the programme and conveyed their greetings to the students. The former Head of the Telugu department Dr Bhagylakshmi explained the significance of the festival to the students on the occasion.

Correspondent Sister Lurdhu Mary briefed the students on the Sankranti festival. A festive ambience prevailed among the students dressed colourfully took part in various events on the occasion. MLC Ramu Surya Rao and others were also present. Students, who excelled in different subjects, were given awards.
