Three die as Tata Ace crashes into parked lorry

Kakinada. Three persons died when a transport vehicle they were travelling in crashed into a stationary lorry at Dharmavaram in Prathipadu mandal in East Godavari district on Sunday.

According to information, 11 parsons from Malkipuram near Razole in East Godavari district went to Goddess Talupulamma Lova temple in Tuni mandal on Sunday morning in Tata Ace transport vehicle. While they were returning home, the driver hit a parked lorry at Dharmavaram.

While three persons, including driver, died on the spot, seven others sustained serious injuries. They were admitted to Kakinada Govt General Hospital after first aid at Prathipadu government hospital.

The deceased were identified as Chelluboyina Satyanarayana, 47, Chelluboyina Maridayya, 35, and Mattaparti Yedukondalu, 52. Peddapuram DSP Srinivasa Rao, Prathipadu CI A Sanyasi Rao, SI Ravikumar visited the scene of accident. Prathipadu police are investigating the case.
