Vijayawada: Covid-19 tests for Irrigation, I&PR staff conducted

Vijayawada: As part of the statewide Covid-19 testing programme, the department of medical and health conducted Covid-19 tests to 300 staff working in the irrigation department and Information and Public Relations at the irrigation compound office on Monday.

Staff from two departments attended the tests and medical and health department collected swabs. APNGOs association western Krishna president A Vidya Sagar after attending the Covid-19 test met the district collector Md Imtiaz.

He requested the collector to take measures to conduct tests to all government employees working in the district. He said staff of various departments attended the duty during the lockdown period and some of them are in suspicion of infected with Covid-19.

Irrigation superintending engineer P Ramesh, executive engineers S Srinivasa Rao, MSS Venugopal, Information and Public Relations assistant director K Sadarao and other officials attended the Covid tests.
