There are signs of light to moderate rains in one or two places along the coast and in Rayalaseema for the next two days. According to the IMD, heavy showers are likely in Nellore, Prakasam and Rayalaseema on October 3 and 4. Heavy to moderate showers are expected in Prakasam, Nellore and Chittoor districts.

The meteorological department has also forecasted low pressure in the southern Andaman Sea on Friday due to the effect of surface periodicity on the Malaya Peninsula.
