S&P Global strengthens Hyderabad team

Hyderabad: S&P Global, a provider of ratings, benchmarks, analytics and data on Thursday announced the expansion of its operations in India with the opening of Orion, a centre of excellence for technology.

S&P Global has invested $10 million (approx. Rs 70 crore) on the one lakh sft facility which has a capacity to accommodate 850 employees.

Under a partnership with Ness Digital Engineering, the technology centre was initiated in 2017.

From July 1, 2019, the co-branded facility has come under the complete ownership of S&P Global. Through Orion, the company has provided additional 700 jobs, taking its headcount in Hyderabad to 4,500 employees.

Besides the new facility, S&P Global also has its presence in Hitech city, with talent working across business groups like data, technology, product management and commercial.

Abhishek Tomar, Managing Director-India, S&P Global, said: "Through Orion, we look to empower our workforce to develop advanced technological skills.

With this facility, we reinforce our investment in top technology talent to accelerate digital transformation."
