Ilaiyaraja's Bharath Bhoomi video making waves
The filmi fraternity has shown that it cares as India is rocked along with the world by coronavirus pandemic. From helping guest workers move to their homes to providing food and refreshments, financial assistance and other related outreach activities, the community has been served quite effectively all across the country.
Released a week ago, Ilaiyaraja who has come up with a bi-lingual tribute – Bharath Bhoomi – in honour of the Covid-19 warriors who have rendered selfless service risking their lives – is touching close to lakh views. A video song less than five minutes, it has been rendered by S P Balasubrahmanyam in Tamil and Shaan in Hindi. The song highlights the need to stay united and fight the dreaded virus in a musical manner.
