Bharathiraja was often left wonderstruck at the visualization of his team member who could bring to life what the director thought in his mind, accurately, many a time. Kannan was a song sequence specialist and his talent came to the top during these scenes, said the director in an interaction with the media.

This aspect was noticed by Telugu director K Viswanath too, he added. Unfortunately, one more titan of the cinema industry now has passed into a world of his own.
