‘Never say die’ says Arun Vijay

Fifteen years ago, a few years after the other Vijay made his mark and Ajith Kumar too had got launched, there was another hero who made his bow in Tamil cinema. Arun Vijay, son of veteran actor Vijay Kumar who was a contemporary of Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth had a good start to his career in 1995 when his debut film 'Murai Mappillai' was appreciated.

Yet, a series of wrong choices and delayed productions lobbed off a considerable time in the growing-up phase of his career. Holding on gamely, 42-year-old Arun has made a mark in not only Tamil films presently but also Telugu cinema where he played stylish, anti-hero roles including the one in Prabhas starrer ' Saaho'.

His 25th movie 'Thadam' is now being remade in Telugu and Hindi as it was a roaring hit for its gripping narrative. As he tweeted recently: ' When the world seems unjust, show that you can live'.
