Debutant actor Anand Deverakonda, who is making his debut with 'Dorasani', terms his film as an honest love story.

'It's a realistic love story and we tried to bring the soul of the story on screen," he adds. He claims that they shot in real locations to justify the 'period' flick.

"It's a shade ahead of other love stories due to high emotional quotient," he informs. He claims to have received offers after his brother Vijay Devarakonda delivered blockbuster 'Arjun Reddy,' but he didn't take them seriously.

"A few offers came my way but I wasn't sure then, until director Mahendra came to me to narrate this gripping story for 5-hours and floored me," he adds.

Sharing more details about Vijay's reaction to the film, he adds, "Initially, Vijay was bit tensed before watching our film. Later, he was impressed with the film and praised us all and it gave me confidence," he points out.

He says Vijay also went through lot of struggles before attaining stardom. "Vijay struggled a lot in his 10-year-old career before attaining stardom riding on his immense talent.

Making me to understand, that if you have talent, you can succeed. I don't want to keep taking his name and like to carve my own path, although our sibling love will remain intact," he adds.

He claims that he was selected for this role through audition and not by the name of his star brother. "Most of the people in the industry know that Vijay has a brother but very few have seen me.

Hence, I went for the audition like another new face and got selected," he informs. He is awaiting the response from the audience for his movie, "I care a damn about negative comments before release of the film but will take comments bit seriously post-release," he informs.

Talking about his producers, he adds, "Despite being a film with new faces, they gave us complete freedom. Now they are confident with the finished product," he points out.

About his family, he shares, "At home, we are more pragmatic, rather being emotional. But when my brother Vijay got emotional at the pre-release event, I had tears in my eyes."
