Vishal wraps massive 17-day climax shoot for ‘Makutam’
Puratchi Thalapathy Vishal’s ambitious project Makutam has hit a major milestone, with the team officially completing its grand climax schedule. Marking Vishal’s debut as a director, the film is being produced by Super Good Films as RB Choudary’s 99th production, with the story written by Ravi Arasu.
The makers revealed that the climax was shot over an intense 17-day stretch, running daily from 6 AM to 6 PM. Designed on the scale of a war sequence, the shoot brought together hundreds of stunt performers and nearly 800 technicians, making it one of the film’s biggest production efforts. The team described the schedule as a blend of “raw emotions, visual spectacle, and high-voltage action,” promising audiences a never-before-seen cinematic experience.
With stunt choreography handled by Dilip Subbarayan, the action portions have reportedly been mounted with international-level precision. A newly released behind-the-scenes video further showcases the hard work poured into the sequence, highlighting Vishal’s commitment both in front of and behind the camera, as well as the remarkable enthusiasm of the entire crew.
Makutam also boasts strong technical support with music by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Richard M Nathan, editing by NB Srikanth, and art direction by Durairaj. The film is now moving swiftly toward completion and is expected to gear up for a grand release soon.
