Achievers' Day celebrated at GITAM

Hyderabad: School of Technology (SoT) and GITAM Hyderabad Business School (GHBS) of GITAM deemed-to-be University, Hyderabad celebrated Achievers' Day to hand over the offers of appointments to selected students of Engineering and Management streams at its Campus on Monday.

A total of 600 students have been placed through the institute's Campus Placements process.

About 120 companies participated in the final placements.

GITAMITES bagged more than 150 multiple offers.

The Achievers' Day Celebration began at 11 am. Students heard messages from the Chief Guest, Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Directors.

Venkatesh Palabatla, Chief Human Resources Officer, GMR Hyderabad International Airport graced this occasion as chief guest.

'Be clear what you are going to do. Love your job. If you love it you are willing to do so many things' he advised the students those who have been placed.

He urged students to keep giving their best in each and every endeavour.

'You must be a best team player. Continuous learning is required. It is an unending process. Skill V/s. will. Develop the performing better skills. You must acquire the ability' Venkatesh exhorted the budding engineers and managers.

Prof. K.Siva Rama Krishna, Vice-Chancellor (In-charge), GITAM begins with an inspiring thought with a message that clarity.

'When you are confident enough, you can do the best. That clarity gives you the confidence. You have to improve the clarity that functional to overall business' he told.

He appealed the outgoing students with job offers, they are the brand ambassadors of GITAM and joining in the pool of alumni.

He advised the students to face the challenges and convert them as opportunities.

Prof. N.Siva Prasad, Pro Vice-Chancellor spoke about how technology was evolving at a very fast pace these days.

As a student one must have all around approach which GITAM is determined to provide each and every student.

He appreciated the tireless efforts of the achievers, Training & Placements Dept. and the faculty. Prof. Y.Lakshman Kumar, Dean& Director, GITAM Hyderabad Business School, presented a report on the placements of MBA graduates.

Earlier, Dr. Nathi Venu Kumar, Director, T&P delivered the welcome speech and Prof. M.Akka Lakshmi proposed the vote of thanks.

Prof. Ch.Sanjay, Principal, School of Technology, Shri DVVSR Varma, GITAM Resident Director, HoDs of various departments, selected students and their parents also took part in this programme.
