https://www.theroadtrips.co Founded in 2017, having its headquarters in Mumbai, The Road Trips Co is lead by Vineet Rajan and Deepak Ananth along with a group of people who love travelling. The club is now present in 16 other cities including Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Nashik, Aurangabad, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Chandigarh, Kochi, Coimbatore, Indore, Bhopal, Pune and Ahmedabad.

Deepak Ananth (39) and Vineet Rajan (32) will agree with this slant. Enthusiastic explorers who have jointly investigated more than 500,000 km by road, they gave up their corporate calls to light up in the space near their souls. For some people, it is a reality and for others, it is a dream. However, others change the cliches in their heads to change travel - or business trips - to their jobs.

How to become a member of Road trip co.

Becoming a member is simple. Just join them for a drive. The trips are listed on the club's website and members can choose the ones they like. "You can click on the" Interested "button after reading what we plan to do on the drive. If there is a payment, do the same online. You can ping us online to get details about a particular drive, Once you have signed up, you can even create your own drive and ask others to join you.

The idea is to encourage safe driving and explore places in our country, says Deepak. Very often, the team notices that many people have confidence in driving in the city but do not really know when to take the highway. Driving with The Road trip co. helps them overcome this difficulty, make new friends, and there is always the comfort of safety in numbers. Each drive has a theme and activities involved.

Interestingly, the club also welcomes pets. Fluffy Labradors, friendly Golden Retrievers, and cuddly St. Bernards are among the members who frequently travel with us. And what a sight to see them pass their heads through the window with their ears flapping out.

Trip Style: Road Trip (Self Drive / Chauffeur Driven)

Road Trip gives Travel Trips

1. Google Maps

A good place to start. Enter your departure destination and your final destination, and get an idea of the schedule. Adjust your route and see where you can go and how long it will take (you can also see if you're only a few hours behind a place you may not have thought of originally, but you would like to visit). Make sure your basic route is well defined, your A to B, but that every mile is not engraved in the marble. You need to have room for unexpected turns, quick decisions and moments "I wonder what's going on here?"

2. Which car?

The type of car you need depends on your destination, the type of trip and the number of people you will be. Think about the likely you are to need a 4 wheel drive, a high clearance or a convertible, and book accordingly. Be sure to book in advance, opt for unlimited mileage (unless you are absolutely sure of the length of your trip) and be sure!

If your trip has to belong, a few months or longer, you may want to consider buying a used car and reselling it at the end. Make sure you have it checked before you sign anything - the last thing you need is a breakdown in the middle of nowhere!

3. Music

A few things go together as well as music and the road. Make sure you have downloaded playlists to your smartphone (and do not forget the USB cable). That said, it's wise to watch local radio and hear the kind of music you probably would not listen to at home, you probably will not think you'll like it, but you'll probably like it.

4. Less travelled roads

Highways may be fast, but you will miss a lot. If possible (time and terrain have given), take the road less travelled. You will see so much more, meet the locals and venture into paths you have never seen. On a similar note: make this detour! You see a sign indicating a ghost town or a strange tourist attraction? Follow it! This is your chance now. Spontaneity reigns during car trips.

5. Eat local and stay local

Let yourself be tempted by the local food, even if you have no idea what it is. After all, this could be the only chance you have. The same goes for accommodation: it may be tempting to stay in the brand new resort, but why not stay in the b&b / motel / the perfect spot for dads and dads down the road?

If you can not decide, check out the Near Me feature tonight on our app (for iPhone and Android) and see the rooms available near you for that night.

7. Isothermal bag

Who knows when you can eat a piece? Prepare an insulated bag – or splash out on an electric car cool box. - and store drinks and snacks in case you get hungry (or in case you get lost a bit ...).

8. Camp (even in your car)

advice-of-travel-to-road

Depending on your budget - and your wheels - you might consider camping instead of hotels or motels. It's inexpensive, easy and a great way to meet people. If you have a big car or van, you can even sleep in your car at campsites, vehicle, RV campgrounds, gas stations.

9. Travelling companion

Travelling on the road can make or break a friendship. Of course, they make you laugh but imagine being stuck in a car with them for six hours in a row, when the GPS breaks and they cannot read a map ... If it suits you, think about the tastes: are they also interested in local history like you, or are they more interested in finding the nearest bar?

Make sure you find the right travel companion for your temperament, able to do something good that you cannot at all (such as reading maps, speaking a local language) and being able to manage when you're at home. your best level - and the worst.

10. Buy a GPS

Do not hire one. Daily fees will soon cost a lot, much more than it would cost to buy one - and you can use yours again and again, at home and abroad.

11. Go online

Yes, Google Maps is great, but there is something about a paper map: you see, what you sometimes see is collecting dust from the backs of your parents' taxis or car. You'd be surprised how useful it can be - both to find out where you are and to take notes on impromptu stops (and think about the nostalgic value of your return home).

12. Book in advance

Some attractions like LEH, LADAKH, COORG, and HILL STATIONS sell out months in advance. Try to find the main sites you want to see and work your trip around them. The same goes for some hotels in popular locations. Make sure you do not miss anything and book in advance!

13. Rules of the road

Travel tips

Make sure you follow the rules of the road for the state you are visiting. You can find tips and advice on the official website of tourism (note that each state has its own rules).

14. Recharge Your Sim Cards

If your phone is a prepaid one get it Recgarged with sufficient balance, get a local SIM card to help keep your costs down so people can contact you easily. There is always Skype and WhatsApp Messenger, but they need a Wi-Fi or mobile connection to work.

15. Gas stations

Gas stations can be a bargain. The older ones have toilets, semi-decent food, drinkable coffee and all sorts of treats for the weary traveller. Some might even let you use their facilities and park at night in their parking lot.

16. Stay safe!

Browse these small roads, get out of your comfort zone and explore - but be careful. Listen to advice, always let someone know where you are and where you are going - and do not be a hero.

On a more practical note, keeping a few litres of water in your car at any time can literally save your life. If you have the room, a gallon of gas is a good idea too.

17.Download Apps

Make sure your smartphone is loaded with useful apps. For a good start, check out our incredibly useful travel apps that do not strictly travel apps - you might be surprised!
