Rejoicing over New Zealand massacre despicable

It is disgusting to see that after the gruesome terrorist attacks on Muslim worshippers in New Zealand's mosque, many of Indian fanatic right-wing groups are posting provocative statements and expressing their happiness on social media over the massacre. I strongly condemn both the brutal killing of worshippers in New Zealand's mosque as well as the rejoicing of fanatic right- wing groups in India over the macabre incident.

Candlelight processions are being carried out by peace-loving people all over the world. Political leaders around the world expressed their sorrow, shock and anger at what the New Zealand's Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, called "one of New Zealand's darkest days". The British Prime Minister Theresa May called the assault, which killed at least 49 people and left dozens more injured, a "horrifying terrorist attack".

"To target Muslims as they were attending their place of worship is despicable," May said. "There can be no place in our societies for the vile ideology that drives and incites hatred and fear. Together we will defeat those who seek to destroy our values, our way of life and seek to divide us," she said.

Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday expressed "deep shock and sadness" over the death of scores of people in the heinous terrorist attack in New Zealand while stressing India's strong condemnation of terrorism and all of those who support such acts of violence.

But It is unfortunate that fanatic right- wing groups in the India are shouting anti-Muslims slogans and expressing happiness over the terrorist attacks on worshippers in New Zealand's mosque. I can see a large number of other groups of Indian youth are active and are expressing anger against the posting of provocative statements and expressing happiness by fanatic right- wing groups.

Emerging hostility among Indian youths is the big matter of concern. This is my humble appeal to Indian youth not to issue provocative statements on social media in the wake of New Zealand terrorist attacks in which 49 worshippers were killed and many of them were injured.
