CPI seeks protection of streams and nalas

Abdullapurmet: CPI staged protest in front of MRO office here on Wednesday, demanding protection of streams and nalas from being encroached.

They criticised the officials of revenue and irrigation departments for not taking action against land grabbers who formed layouts by filling nalas and streams in various villages of Abdullapurmet mandal.

They expressed worry over rainwater going waste as the water bodies were disappearing, resulting in ground water depletion. They demanded funds for Chenati Vagu developmet.
