Cricket betting gang busted, two held

Mangalhat: West Zone Task Force sleuths on Saturday busted cricket betting gang and arrested two persons. The police seized Rs 35,000, nine cell phones and one laptop from their possession. According to Task Force, on reliable information they raided on a house in Rahimpura under Mangalhat police station limits and arrested Prem Singh (34) and Akash Singh (20).

The accused were accepting cricket betting from the known and unknown punters directly and indirectly over cell phones by watching in Television on ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup-2019 match in between Pakistan Vs Afghanistan on Saturday in England. The apprehended accused along with seized property were handed over to the SHO, Mangalhat police station for further action.
