DRDO staff organise Swachhta Pakhwada

Kanchanbagh: As part of Swachhta Pakhwada, the DRDO organised a special cleanliness drive and awareness programme at DRDO Township Auditorium in Kanchanbagh on Saturday.

Dr Alapati, a renowned social activist, delivered a motivating lecture on clean and green environment. A mass rally was also taken out to spread awareness in the society, which was led by DRDO Lab schools students, NCC cadets and DRDO employees. This was carried out with innovative posters and banners.

Shaik Ghouse Mohiddin, Estate Manager, said that every citizen of this country is morally bound to contribute towards environment and cleanliness. "We must change our own attitude first and put all out efforts to create awareness and to sensitize people for a clean and ecologically green India," he added

Col Rajender Singh, SSQAG, delivered a special talk highlighting the importance of Indian Flag Day during the event. A large number of scientists, officials, residents, children and other families in and around the neighborhood also participated in the event.

Later, on the occasion of the Armed Forces Flag Day, Ghouse Mohiddin, and Shankar Rao, Principal, DRDO Lab school donated Rs 25,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively. Subedhar (retd) Yadagiri was felicitated for his significant contributions to estate management on this occasion.
