Heavy rains lash many areas

Tarnaka: Local residents heaved a sigh of relief from scorching heat after a moderate rain occurred on Monday evening, accompanied by a gale and subsequently a cool breeze, in Tarnaka, Uppal, Ramanthapur and Amberpet areas.

The gale resulted in a tree crashing on a house in a Chilkanagar colony. People in the Uppal area have been facing severe hardship on account of the hot weather virtually throughout the day in the recent past.
