Heavy rains, winds wreak havoc in city

Malkajgiri: Heavy rains, accompanied by gusty winds, wreaked havoc in the Malkajgiri circle on Monday evening. Several trees were uprooted at Prem Vijayanagar Colony of the division.

Electricity was disrupted as trees fell on electric poles at several places in the division. As a result, residents of several colonies had to spend Monday night in darkness.

People had to face hardships as GHMC and electricity officials failed to restore the situation on Monday. Residents appealed to the officials to respond to the situation and conduct relief activities at the earliest.
