Helmet rule for pillion riders opposed

Himayat Nagar: Two wheelers Riders Association held a meeting on the flaws in helmet act at Himayat Nagar on Thursday. In the meeting, they demanded to cancel the helmet act, as there are flaws in it.

They mainly demanded to cancel the rule that states that the pillion rider should also wear a helmet. Mohammed Amanulla Khan also participated in the meeting. Speaking on the issue, Khan said, "Helmet act should be cancelled or should be kept as an optional in the coming Assembly meetings.

In case that didn't happen, a protest would be launched against the government." He further demanded to answer why this act is is not applicable for pedestrians, four-wheelers, cycle and rickshaw travelers.
