Jalamandali to prevent huge wastage of water

Chilkalguda: Jalamandali DGM Srinivas Rao said steps would be taken to prevent wastage of water. He held a meeting with Managers Hakim Hussain and Suryanarayana Reddy at his office on Monday.

He said 7 million gallons of water was being supplied in Chilkalguda every day. "But, only 4.5 million gallons of water is being billed while the staff is able to find how to bill the remaining 2.5 million gallons.

To prevent this meters should be set up in every household," he said. He said a rally would be taken in the streets to sensitise people on the issue after Dasara.
