Madhapur: Sanitation staff feted by temple committee

Madhapur: The sanitation workers of Madhapur GHMC division were felicitated by local Corporator V Jagdishwar Goud on Sunday as part of the 'Karthika Masa Sahasra Deepotvasam' at Sri Lakshmi Venketeswara Temple at Chandra Naik Thanda of the division.

Addressing the gathering, Goud lauded holding of the felicitation function as the sanitation employees work even disregarding their lives to keep people's surroundings clean and green. "These employees wake up residents in the morning hours and ensure cleanliness of Greater Hyderabad.

Hence it is laudable to felicitate them by the temple committee members and the thanda elders," the corporator stated. Those present at the function included Thanda residents Hunya Naik, Tharya Naik, Narsimha, Ramulu, SRP Srinivas, SFI Balraj and Santosh.
