Mass Sathyanarayana Vratam performed

Nampally: Annavaram Sathyanarayana Devasthanam and World Aryavaishya Maha Sabha jointly organised mass Sathyanarayana Vratam at Exhibition Grounds here on Sunday. Around 5,000 couples performed puja with religious fervor.

As part of puja, the devotees offered prayers and listened to the recital of five chapters of Sathyanarayana Katha. The program received good response from the public and a large number of devotees took part in the program.

The organizers said that about 5,000 couples participated in the puja, which itself is a record and is noted by 'Book of Wonder World Records'. Prominent among who participated in the religious programme were Telangana Police Housing Corporation Chairman Damodhar Gupta, Annavaram Devasthanam EO Nageshwar Rao, local corporator Mamatha Santhosh Gupta and others.
