Secunderabad: Armed Forces Veterans Day celebrated

Secunderabad: The fourth Armed Forces Veterans Day was celebrated under the aegis of HQ Telangana and Andhra sub area today at MCEME Auditorium, Secunderabad on Tuesday. The Armed Forces Veterans Day is celebrated as a mark of respect and recognition to the services rendered by the veterans of Indian Armed Forces.

As many as 600 ex-servicemen from the Army, Air force and the Navy were present for the event. Lieutenant General TSA Narayanan, Commandant, Military College of EME, Major General Sandeep Sharma, Commandant, College of Defence Management and Major General RK Singh, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Telangana and Andhra Sub Area felicitated the veterans on the occasion.

While addressing the veterans, the GOC lauded the yeoman service rendered by the veterans and highlighted that the aim of such interaction was to make the veterans to feel part of the larger family. Military band from 1EME Centre enthralled the gathering by playing martial tunes.
