Traffic bottlenecks as garbage blocks pathway

Panjagutta: The pathway under Panjagutta metro station adjacent to central mall is filled with food wastes, plastics and polythene bags and it is causing lot of hardships for the people to cross paths.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Monday, a pedestrian, who regularly pass through this way said, "The pathway is meant for providing safety to the people who pass through it , but shops nearby are misusing it now as a dumping yard, defeating the very purpose of using the pathway.

A pathway should not be used as a dump yard." He said that the city authorities were being highly indifferent and negligent, and passengers were forced to walk in the pathway or by crossing through the vehicles in the heavy traffic.
