Tributes paid to Ambedkar, Gandhiji at Chandanagar

Chandanagar: Local corporator Bobba Navatha Reddy, along with TRS party leaders/activists, on Tuesday garlanded the portraits of Dr B R Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi to mark the 70th anniversary of the adoption of Constitution. She conveyed her greetings to the people on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Reddy stated that leaders of the earlier generation had made supreme sacrifices and for achieving the country's independence and ensuring freedom. "It is only thanks to them that we are enjoying the fruits of liberation/democracy." She observed that thanks to the Constitution written by Dr. Ambedkar people were able to enjoy equality, secularism, brotherhood and justice.

She advised people to remember the contributions of the Constitution-makers and get inspiration from them for promoting brotherhood among themselves. Those present at the function included party activists Bobba Vijay Reddy, Parinandi Srikanth, Bobba Damodar Reddy, Bitla Srikanth Reddy, Pochayya, Krishnamurthy, Nageswar Rao, Sudhakar, Shadakshari, Ward Member Ramana Kumari, Raisa, Zaheer,Altaf, Kumari, Lakshman Rao, Dhanraj, Anant Reddy, Moise, Ghous, Laddu, Venkateswar Rao, Nageswar Reddy and Rajender.
