Taking the motto 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padao' a step forward, the Wakf Board aims to help the girls with not only education but also increase their employability. It proposes to offer them training in job-oriented courses at the new 5-floor building.

After the land was allotted, the foundation stone of Barhana Shah Educational and Commercial Complex was laid by the MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi on September 6, 2018. The construction works were sanctioned to the TSEWIDC (Telangana State Education Women and Infrastructure Development Corporation) with the amount of Rs 20 crore.

"This has been Akbaruddin's vision, who raised the matter in Assembly on several occasions. Later about an acre of land in Phisalbanda Road under Dargah Hazrath Syed Khaja Hassan Barhana Shah was acquired," said Mirza Saleem Baig, Riyasath Nagar division Corporator.

Saleem Baig also said that on November 29, he had met with TSWB Executive Officer Mir Munawar Ali to enquire about the progress of the ongoing work of complex and asked the officials to speed up the works.

According to TSEWIDC Assistant Engineer Syed Amer Ali, the total construction area is of more than an acre (4900 sq yd) and works were started in the month of July. Currently, the basement works are going on and the entire works would be completed by 2021.

The construction of the complex will consist of a basement and ground plus 5 floors and on front side there will be a commercial space in 2 floors, he added. Recently, Minority Advisor to Government A K Khan IPS (retd), Minority Director Shahnawaz Qasim and other officials inspected the ongoing works.
