Unsafe drinking water in Ramnagar

Ramnagar: Due to the heavy rains in the last week, several colonies in Ramnagar divisions, such as Hari Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Shastri Nagar and other colonies, reported contamination of drinking water.

Residents complained that they have been receiving contaminated water in the taps for the last few days. Based on their complaints, local Corporator V Srinivas Reddy met Jalamandali manager Damodar Reddy and urged to take necessary measures to address the issue.

Speaking on the occasion, Srinivas Reddy said that residents in many colonies in Ramnagar have been receiving contaminated water in their taps. He said that leakages in sewerage lines may have led to contamination of drinking water.

He said he urged Jalamandali manager to replace the old pipelines wherever necessary. He expressed hope that issue would be addressed at the earliest. The corporator was accompanied with TRS leaders R Mallesham, SirigiriShyam and others.
