Wine shop located near hospital

Mythrivanam: There is a wine shop near Lata Enclave Madhura Nagar, which is close to a hospital. Thought there is a rule that liquor shops should not be set up in the vicinity of educational, institutional, residential areas, places of worship and hospitals, the rule is followed more in breach than in practice.

A resident of Mythrivanam area expresed his grievance that the new Telangana government came up with a new excise policy to encorage setting up of liquor shops to enhance its revenue. But in the process, it is looking other way as such shops are sprouting in prohibited areas. People are seen publicly consuming alcohol on the roads, he bemoaned.

During evening and night, women face many problems to walk in streets as drunkards are everywhere and present a scary sight. Similar is the plight of visitors and attendants of patients at the nearby hospital, which has a wine shop in close proximity.
