JACTO, USPC teachers' union conduct rally in Khammam

JACTO and USPC teachers’ union leaders taking out a protest rally in Khammam on Thursday 

Khammam: Joint Action Committee of Teachers Organisations (JACTO) and Upadhyaya Sangala Porata Committee (USPC) leaders of Khammam district unit jointly organised a huge rally and one-day deeksha in Khammam town on Thursday. STF State president Devarakonda Saidulu launched rally and deeksha programmes. The rally was conducted from Pavilion Grounds to Dharna Chowk amid anti-government slogans. Later, teachers participated in one-day deeksha at Dharna Chowk.

Speaking on the programme, teachers union leader Devarakonda Saidulu, TPF State president Rama Rao, secretary P Nagireddy and vice-president Durgabhavani fired on the State government's policies. They alleged Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had not fulfilled the promises he gave to teachers. Alleging that the government was not giving PRC, the said CPC system is a loss to teachers. They appealed to the teachers to participate in maha dharna on December 29 in Hyderabad.

Leaders of CPI, CPI (ML) and Congress P Venkateswarlu, Potu Ranga Rao, K Sambasiva Rao, Durga Prasad, former MLC Potla Nageswara Rao and others visited the deeksha programme and expressed their solidarity to the protesting members.

Teachers union leaders Nagamani, A Bansilal, Boja Raju, AK Nageswara Rao, P Nageswara Rao, G Yadagiri and others participated in the programme.
