10 lakh worth ganja seized, 2 arrested

Hyderabad: The Patancheru police on Wednesday seized Rs 10 lakh worth ganja and arrested two persons who were allegedly transporting it in a lorry. According to the police, on reliable information they intercepted a lorry at ORR toll gate under Patancheru police station limits and found that the suspects were illegally transporting 420 kg ganja from Visakhapatnam to Zaheerabad in a lorry by conceiving it in the middle of gypsum.

Police identified the arrested persons as Heeramen Nayak, belonging to Sangareddy, and Rathod Laxman belonging to Bidar. During interrogation the accused disclosed that one Kashi belonging to Vizag and Sakram belonging to Maharashtra were doing illegal ganja business. Police said efforts are on to nab the main accused.
