One held for sexually harassing lady doctor in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: The police have arrested a person who traped a lady doctor and sexually assaulted her in Visakhapatnam. The accused harassed the victim by taking her obscene pictures during the intimate moments and threatened to post them on social media if she drops the relationship with him.

The incident came into light when the victim approached the police station and lodged the complaint.

Going into details, a person by name Srinivas Kalyan, a native of Jonnaguddi area in Vizianagaram district is into a finance business. In this context, he met with a lady doctor from Vizag, who took finance from him for her personal needs. Taking advantage of this, Srinivas traped the woman and exploited her physically.

Recently, a conflict broke out between them, and the lady doctor stayed away from him. Since then, Srinivas was continuously harassing her and threatened that he'll post her nude pics on social media if she doesn't listen to him.

Over this, she immediately approached Gopalapatnam police station and lodged the complaint. Upon receiving the information, the police registered an FIR under Section 417, 376,354A, 341, 321 and 506, arrested the accused and sent him to the judicial custody.
