Suspecting illicit affair, man murders wife

Visakhapatnam: Suspecting extra marital affair with another person, a man brutally murdered his wife at Kothapalem area in the city on Saturday. According to the Gopalapatnam police, A Pydiraju murdered his wife A Sarada,25, with a sharp-edged knife while she was engaged in a domestic work at home.

Later, Pydiraju rushed to Gopalapatnam police station and surrendered before them. The couple blessed with two children. Pydiraju and Sarada are living in locality after they got married. In the recent times, Pydiraju suspected that his wife had an illicit affair with another man and warned her in this regard. Both had heated argument over the issue several times also.

In this backdrop, the accused went out for some time in the afternoon and rushed to home with a sharp-edged knife when Sarada engaged in domestic work and attacked her mercilessly. The seriously injured Sarada died on the spot. Acting on the information given by Pydiraju, the police rushed to the spot and shifted the body for postmortem.
