1,58,640 people have been evacuated in Odisha, said SN Pradhan, NDRF Chief
Cyclone Amphan is currently about:
- 190 KM East-NE of Paradip (Odisha)
- 65 KM East-SE of Digha (West Bengal)
- 35 KM South of Sagar Island
- 225 KM South-SW of Khepupara (Bangladesh)

Cyclone Amphan Live Updates: NDRF Chief SN Pradhan said, “Wind speed has picked up near coastal Odisha and is blowing at around 100 kmph at Paradip. Wind is not that strong in West Bengal. Odisha has evacuated nearly 1.5 lakh people from Balasore and Bhadrak and West Bengal has evacuated over 3.3 lakh people.”

Keeping in view the landfall of Cyclone Amphan, all the operations at the Kolkata Airport will be suspended till 5 am on Thursday, including special flights for the COVID-19 pandemic, news agency ANI reported, quoting the Airport Director for West Bengal.
