Disease surveillance meet held

Bhubaneswar: The National Review Meeting of the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) for the year 2025, held in Bhubaneswar, concluded on Tuesday.

Delegates from various States and Union Territories, along with representatives from IDSP and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, participated in the three-day event.

The meeting focused on reviewing ongoing IDSP activities, sharing best practices, and discussing strategies for strengthening disease surveillance across the country.

The Odisha government, as the host State, ensured smooth coordination and management of the event. Under the overall supervision of Prameela Baral, Additional Director of Health Services (Public Health), the team facilitated logistics and session coordination.

Odisha showcased its rich culture by presenting traditional plants that symbolise harmony, purity, and respect for guests.
