Encounter breaks out in Shopian

Srinagar: An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir Friday, officials said here.

Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the Imamsahib area of Shopian in south Kashmir following information about presence of militants there, a police official said.
