Maharashtra Government Live Updates: SC to pass order on Maharashtra at 10.30am on Tuesday
The Maharashtra Government suspense seems to have not ended with the appointment of BJP's Devendra Fadnavis and NCP's Ajit Pawar. A contingent of NCP, Shiv Sena and Congress leaders is set to meet the Governor opposing the issue today. Stay tuned for live updates from the state.
NCP legislative party leader Jayant Patil said NCP-Cong-Sena have submitted letter of support to the Governor and that they have the support of 162 MLAs. "We have also told the Governor that Devendra Fadnavis does not have the number and can’t prove it on floor," he said.
After hearing the arguments of all parties in the case, the Supreme Court has decided to announce its decision tomorrow at 10:30 am.
Referring to constitutional provisions, BJP's counsel Mukul Rohatgi says procedures of assembly like pro-tem speaker cannot be interfered with.
"The three parties can't even agree to field a common counsel," says SG Tushar Mehta, taking a dig at many counsels representing the NCP-Congress-Sena joint plea by advocates Kapil Sibal and Abhishek Manu Singhvi.

Singhvi said that he has affidavits from 48 NCP MLAs, 56 Shiv Sena MLAs and 44 Congress MLAs. But he was objected by Mukul Rohatgi who said these signatures cannot be "filed" before the Supreme Court.
