Wrestlers' Request For Supervision On Brij Bhushan Singh Probe To Be Heard In Delhi Court

Today, the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi is all setto hear a case brought by protesting wrestlers to request oversight of the Delhi Police's investigation into the former head of the Wrestling Federation of India, Brij Bhushan Singh. The statements of wrestlers will be recorded. In the meantime, the wrestlers had requested to record the statement of the minor who had also allegedly faced assault. They want to include the recording of the minor along with recordings in their plea.

The wrestlers protesting on Jantar Mantar had also claimed that the case has been dragged by Delhi Police. They added that Delhi Police is not being supportive as the police had allegedly not recorded the statements of the complainants who are accusing against the former WFI Chief Brij Bhushan Singh.

Meanwhile, in response to a request for a court-monitored probe into the sexual harassment case brought against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) head Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh by female wrestlers, a Delhi court on Wednesday demanded the Delhi Police's response.

Furthermore, the plea under section 156 of the criminal process code was given notice by Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Harjeet Singh Jaspal of Rouse Avenue Courts. In addition to other connected reliefs, such as a report on the steps taken by the police in this case, the plea asks for a court-monitored investigation.
