SKPV students excel in Sepak Takraw

Vijayawada: Students of SKPV Hindu High School, Gandhi Nagar, excelled in the national juniors Sepak Takraw competitions organised recently in Kurnool. Three students-- D Satish, D Eeswar and B Sai Kumar represented the Andhra Pradesh team and won silver medal in the 20th national Sepak Takra championship held at Montessori High School in Kurnool from January 16 to 20. 

School Head Mistress V Girija and Physical Education Teacher S Ramesh and school secretary S Sankara Rao on Monday congratulated the players for getting silver medal to Andhra Pradesh team. However, the team lost to the Odisha team in the finals. School secretary Sankara Rao said the school committee would arrange all facilities to promote sports and games. School staff and other students congratulated the silver medal winners.
