Conductor returns bag with gold ornaments to passenger

Rajamahendravaram: Urban Police Superintendent B Raja Kumari felicitated RTC bus conductor G Venkata Satyanarayana at her office here on Thursday, for returning a bag containing gold ornaments to a passenger.

According to Raja Kumari, M Sarada (63) of AVA road boarded RTC bus at Bhimavaram and alighted at Tadithota centre forgetting her bag in which she kept 208 grams of gold ornaments. After returning home, she came to know about the missing bag and informed to the police who obtained the conductor’s phone number and contacted him. 

He said that the bag was with him. The bag contains three gold chains and a ring. He informed to the police that he can handover the bag in Bhimavaram RTC complex if anybody comes there and the police rushed to Bhimavaram and recovered the bag from the conductor.

With this, the SP honoured him with a shawl and asked him to work with honesty and committment in future also. The SP admired one town inspector M Ravindra, sub-inspector MD Juber, constables K Pradeep and S Bala Krishna who used technology to detect the bag and taking quick action. Additional SP M Rajanikanth Reddy and Central zone Deputy Superintendent of Police J Kula Sekhar lauded the policemen.
