Rajampet civic body selected for national Swachh contest

Kadapa: Rajampet municipality has been selected for participating in the National Swachh Competition. The civic body has set up ward-wise teams to ensure collection of garbage from houses, its segregation and making town ODF.

The swachh survey teams will tour the various divisions in Rajampet in the last week of this month, Municipal Commissioner S V Ramana Reddy on Thursday said and directed the ward team leaders to ensure collection/segregation of garbage from every house, and keeping streets clean in every division. He further instructed them to make sure that there is no open defecation in the town.

In this connection, Reddy held a meeting in his office at 3 pm on Thursday. Among those present were DEE B Srinivasulu, AE K Mohan, Town Planning Officer L Balaji, Revenue Inspectors B Haranath and R Penchalayya
