As part of the programme to upgrade and develop tourism in the district under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, the Budget Hotel is being constructed near the Arasavalli Suryanarayana  (Sun God) temple in Srikakulam.

A total of 1.48 cents land belonging to the Endowments Department was allotted to the hotel by the APTDC along with 31 rooms, one restaurant, a function hall and convention centre. They said that the hotel will be inaugurated on Ugadi festival, this year.

The prices for all rooms, halls and food will be fixed by taking into consideration the budget of the middle-class people, they added. Denying irregularities in agreement process, they said that they were committed to develop tourism sector in the district.
