2 youngsters die after consuming soft drinks 

Anantapur: In a tragic incident, two youngsters died due to severe health complications hours after consuming soft drinks here in Hindupur town in Anantapur district on Friday. Another youngster, who also drank the drink, is said to be in critical condition due to health complications. 

According to the police, Pradeep and Siva along with one more person entered a hotel to have a cool drink. The three of them ordered soft drink Sprite and drank. Within a few minutes, all the three developed pain in the abdomen. The locals shifted them to a nearby hospital where two of them were declared brought dead. While the third person was admitted and is said to be battling for life. 

The police registered a case and are an investigation as to how the soft drinks got adulterated. The police also suspected that the drinks might have been adulterated before the stock was brought to retail market.
