Update: 2018-03-11 09:24 IST

Amaravati: A bunch of Nigerians have brought disrepute to their country. These ‘intelligent bunch’ have a good understanding of psychology of people across the world. If one day they come up with internet-based business, another day they come up with commodities trading.

After targeting loan seekers, aged spinsters, grass widows, employment seekers, people looking for loans, the racketeers are exploring new ways to continue their racketeering. Their innovation in cheating people is endless. Now they have come up with Roman Grain Reserve Oil.

The other day one Aishah Husam with a beautiful profile photograph contacted me on Facebook and immediately proposed a business deal. She stated, “I discovered that Roman Grain Reserve Oil is available in India. The oil is used in manufacturing anti-HIV therapy, hypertension, Parkinson’s and treating Ebola infections. I purchased the oil twice in India. The demand is growing across Europe.

I urge you to work with me. I purchase it from the local dealer in India at 3000 USD per a litre. I supply the oil to the company at 7,000 USD per a litre and make a profit of 4000 dollars. If you are willing to cooperate and share profit with me as your friend, I will send you contact details of the Indian local seller. Thereafter I will release all vital information to you which will enable you to reach my company officially. I am looking forward for your positive reply.”

I asked her, “What is my role in this business. There is no evidence to suggest that Roman Grain oil is used for treating HIV.” She replied, “Your role here is to be a middle man between our company and the local dealer. So, if you are interested and willing to share profit with me then you tell me." (sic)

I told her, “As long as you do not ask me to invest money, I am ready to help you if it is useful for HIV patients.” She replied, “Only you will have to get 2 or 3 litres for sample for my new purchasing manager. That is for him to know you are the original dealer of this product.”

I told her that I do not invest any money. She said, "Then forget about the business.'' This is how the trap is laid. She gives a number of a contact where I can purchase oil from him. And I am supposed to pay money to him for the oil, which I would never receive. After receiving money, there would be no communication from anybody leaving me high and dry.

Beware! Such people are around you shooting mails or calling you on mobiles. Do not fall prey to them. Inform police with their email ids and phone numbers. Oh! Those Nigerians!
