Bid to lift cash from AP Grameena Vikas Bank

Srikakulam: Miscreants made a futile attempt to lift cash from AP Grameena Vikas Bank (APGVB) at Kollivalasa in Burja mandal on Thursday. According to police and bank officials, an attempt was made on Wednesday late night and it came to light on Thursday.

On  receiving information, Srikakulam DSP V Bhima Rao, Amudalavalasa CI D Naveen Kumar rushed to the spot, along with Clues team members. The thieves break open window and entered the bank but failed open cash and gold lockers. Cash and gold are safe except damage of furniture. Based on a complaint lodged by APGVB manager, police registered a case.
