YSRCP leaders Arrested

Vijayawada: Police arrested YSRCP leaders and former MLAs Malladi Vishnu, Velampalli Srinivas, Jogi Ramesh and others near Vijayawada Railway Station here on Wednesday when they went to take part in the rail roko organised by the YSRCP as part of the fight for the Special Category Status. 

The leaders with their supporters reached the railway station at 10.30 am.The police announced that there was no permission for the rail roko and asked them to leave the area. When the party leaders and workers refused, they forcibly arrested and took them to various police stations in the city.

Later, they were released.The YSRCP leaders condemned the arrest and questioned why the TDP government is arresting the leaders when the same party is fighting for the SCS in Parliament and other places.
